29 day shred, actually.
What I Did
I read the Bible, Genesis to Revelation, in 29 days. It was roughly 44 pages/2.5 hours of reading a day. I read the New Living Translation because I had never read that translation before and because it's supposed to be very readable so I wouldn't waste time getting hung up on sentence structure/flow or chunky King James words that we don't use anymore. (SHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Why I Did
I primarily did this to get a refreshment with the whole of scripture. I wanted a jumping off point to decide what to study next. In order not to get bogged down while reading the text, I took notes and wrote questions in a separate notebook so I would keep track of what themes are where and what to look back into when I finished the shred. Normally, when studying, I try to take my time and use lots of notes and colors and arrows and stuff to learn with. No way was I doing that with 44 pages a day.
What I Learned
1. Discipline - I had to prioritize my reading in order to finish for that day because there's no way to put off one day and do 80 pages the next. I'd "give up" time doing other things to devote to this.
Life lesson = you prioritize what's really important to you.
2. I was able to make connections more easily across books because I had *just* read a similar thing, like, 2 days prior so it was fresh in my mind.
3. I gained a huge appreciation for the whole of scripture. After I finished Deuteronomy, I was like I. LOVE. TORAH. And when I got bogged down with the Psalms and broke it up (it's like straight-up reading a hymnbook if you do 40 pages of Psalms a day, so I broke it up into 10 pages a day with my other reading), I was like THESE. ARE. AMAZING. And after I got done with the prophets- especially Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah, I was like THEY. KNOW. EVERYTHING.
And since I hadn't read the New Testament in a long time (I had read from it, but hadn't studied it), just reading through the gospel of John blew my mind. You'll see in the notes below. And then the meat in letters like James, Peter, and Timothy was incredibly encouraging.
So I ended up finishing the shred and was like, I can't wait to get back into it!
HalleluYAH!
Notes I took
The notes below include everything from my personal reactions, to questions, to deep life-changing theological questions, life-after-death ponderances, commands to my future self, and just overall whimsical scribbles. :)
I plan to print them out and use them to study with next time I'm studying through each book.
There are several that have "check translation" by it. Because I was new to the NLT, some things sounded brand new to me that I wanted to verify with another version or the original language text. There is a lot of man-made doctrine and anti-Jewishness interwoven in the English translations that we have to be careful of when reading or taking at face value. Galatians in this version was an utter joke. Ephesians, on the other hand, was amazing.
You may see some notes that scream "witnesses!" or "Get witnesses!" because this is the Biblical principle for establishing the truth of a matter. If I had an idea that came from scripture, I wanted to make sure that it was supported elsewhere in scripture.
1. Gen 2 - No rain in the beginning. Streams of water from the ground. Is there a purpose for rain then related to the curse of sin? Think about thunder and how Elohim speaks to people sometimes.

18. Gen 21 - Who is Abimelech? King of the Philistines (Gen 26:1)
19. Gen 28:17 - House of God, Gateway to Heaven - Yeshua connections, Spirit dwelling in us?

33. Ex 9:19 - Obedience as an option for Egyptians to avoid the plague
34. Ex 12:5 - Passover sacrifice: 1 year old male sheep or goat.
35. Ex 12:15 - Passover - remove yeast on the first day
36. Ex 12:18 - Passover - evening of the 14th day
37. Ex 13:4 - On this DAY you have been set free
38. Ex 13:17-18 - He leads us in a roundabout way. Deliberately not the shortest way for a purpose.
39. Ex 15:11 - Typo here. Who is like you among the vgods
40. Ex 16:7 - Following Yah's commands makes us blameless. As in, no one can blame you if you're just doing what he said to do.

45. Ex 20:20 - Our fear of Yah keeps us from sinning!
What if the judgment by fire at the end of days is just a really big burnt offering symbolizing giving everything, and I mean everything to Yah? Burning of all physical realm?

47. Ex 23:20, 23 - Who is this angel?
48. Ex 23:25 - Serve only Yah your Elohim: food, water, protection from illness
49. Ex 25:20 - Cherubim are protection for the atonement cover. Just like in Eden, protecting the glory from sinner? Or protecting sinners from glory?
50. Ex 25:21 - Terms of the covenant - which I will give you. He hadn't given them yet?
51. Ex 26 - I wonder what happened to the Tabernacle when Solomon built the temple. Like, was it worn out and stuff?
52. Ex 28:35 - If he wears it, he will not die. I thought if he came before the Lord in an unworthy manner, he could die and then they'd have to pull him out with a rope if the bells stopped jingling.
53. Ex 29 - Sin offering, burnt offering, the priests and garments are set apart, then special offering. Each day in the consecration ceremony... day is 1000 years. Typology for all time? Offering for sin > purification > anointing
54. Ex 29:46 - Reason for leaving Egypt = so Yah could live among us

58. Ex 37:21 - Do almonds represent anything? Aaron's staff will bud almonds in a few chapters...
59. Ex 40 - Amazing he still let/chose Aaron to be high priest and his descendants after the golden calf thing. Also: look into how long it took to build this. Less than 1 year vs the years for the temple. Connection on timing?
60. Lev 6:13 - Altar fire could never go out but what about the menorah?
61. Lev 6:27 - Stuff that touches holy stuff becomes holy? Compare to Haggai 2:12

63. Lev 10:19 - Is that because his heart wasn't in it?
64. Lev 13 - Levites/priests in charge of examining, quarantining, declaring clean. Not freakin' doctors because Yah was their healer!
65. Lev 13:52 - Completely destroy with fire. How to get rid of unclean stuff. Souls? omgomgomgomg yes. OK. So Yeshua wiill baptize us with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Luke 3:16). The spirit gets rid of unclean stuff in this life like a purifying fire. Perhaps that's why it manifested as tongues of fire in Acts. Interesting stuff.
66. Lev 14:30 - It wasn't about getting a good deal. It was, how MUCH can I spend? Desiring the best. Attributing real value to the offering and what was being done.
67. Lev 14:34 - Why would he contaminate the houses with mildew? Would it be to test their hearts? To see if they would do the things?
68. Lev 15:24 - I thought that wasn't supposed to be going on anywayz.
69. Lev 15:30 - People had to know about your stuff. It wasn't a shameful, hidden gross thing like it is today.
70. Lev 16: 3,5 - Goats or a bull for a sin offering: Bull is for priests. Goats for the people.
71. Lev 16:11-14 - OMG Look at the order & symbology:
a. Sin offering slaughtered = Yeshua's death
b. Incense offered = Prayers offered, us accepting Messiah
c. Blood sprinkled = atonement provided
THAT'S SALVATION - on an individual level
"If he follows these instructions, he will not die" - provides the mediation between Yah and man.
72. Lev 16:32 - That's amazing if that's what it really says because that's Yeshua!
73. Lev 17:7 - Another example of: don't do Yah's stuff (or stuff for Yah) in a pagan way
74. Lev 17:15 - I thought we weren't supposed to eat stuff that died naturally? Or is it just an unclean thing? I thought we could sell it to foreigners. I could be wrooooooooooong
75. Lev 18:19 - SEE? I thought I remembered that. Also in Lev 20:18
76. Lev 19:13 - Hmmm. Payroll.
77. Lev 19:17 - Look at translation about confronting people directly.
78. Lev 20:2-5 - Capital punishment for this offense was a GROUP/COMMUNITY effort. Look into Molech and what it is now. Probably abortion. Half goat, half human > sounds like the baphomet. Babylonian Molech was also Saturn (Roman) and Zeus (Greek).
79. Lev 20:16 - An animal could be guilty.
80. Lev 20:17 - The act is the disgrace, not the child.
81. Lev 21:7,13 - Compare to that thing in Ezekiel
82. Lev 23 - The seven feasts:
Shabbat (52)
Passover/Unleavened Bread (7)
Firstfruits (1)
Shavuot (1)
Trumpets (1)
Atonement (1)
Sukkot & Shemini Atzaret (8)
83. Lev 24:3 - Lamps be on all night
84. Lev 25 - So what if Judah was in captivity for the missed Sabbath years, right (70), and now Israel is for 2000 years. Wilderness because of unfaithfulness to jubilee years (40 x 50 = 2000). Beginning with when Messiah died because then the truth can come to all nations. ??? Just wondering.
85. Lev 25:23 - Woah. We're all foreigners working the land for Yah.
86. Lev 26:15 - Treating regulations with contempt.
87. Lev 26:46 - Commandments = evidence of relationship. Obedience = evidence of love. Just like marriageeeeeeeeeeeeee
88. Lev 27:14 - Priests had economic power...
89. Lev 27:29 - Some will not be redeemed - the ones Yah has set apart for destruction
90. Num 1:5-15 - Levi doesn't fight or doesn't fight in troops. Which makes sense if they're tribal leaders because priests would delegate to them. AH - Levites defend the Tabernacle (Num 1:53)
91. Num 1:52 - Learn the family banners based on the blessing of Israel in Genesis 49.
Then I did a Hebrew word study:
El = (ox, staff) strong authority
El'oh = (ox, staff, yoke that binds) strong authority in covenant
Elohiym = (ox, staff, yoke that binds, qualitative plurality) the strongest of all authority in covenant
Hebrew would be like "2 trees" for quantity and "1 trees" for a quality that is larger/stronger than other trees.
92. Num 4 - Different divisions for carrying stuff ~ closeness to the Tabernacle
93. Num 6:16 - Order to the offerings? Sin, burnt, peace, grain

99. Num 13:20 - Season for first ripe grapes = early fall, late summer. Prophetic?

103. Num 22:20 - Check translations

105. Num 29:12-34 - Sacrifices at Sukkot.
Day 1 - 13 sacrifices (imperfect number)
decreasing one by one each day unto
Day 7 - 7 sacrifices (perfect number)
A bringing back to perfection? What the Millennium reign is all about! The "unwinding" as it were...
106: Num 30:16 - UMBRELLAS
107. Num 31:1-2 - Interesting. Moses fled to Midian and now he has to rise against it as the last thing he does.
108. Num 31:6 - Priests led into battle? Keep in mind for future stuff.
109. Num 31:23 - Purification by fire principle. What if there's some connection between fire & water, heaven & earth, physical & spiritual?

119. Josh 13:23 - What marked the eastern border for Reuben and Gad?
120. Josh 15:63 - What happened to the Jebusites?
**Note** Pay attention to when Yeshua goes north to Galilee and what he does there and who he talks to. Since this is post-exile, I want to say it's more diaspora-ish ("Samaria") than what I've previously thought or at least a different culture than southern Judea/Jerusalem region.

They become the things you know, whether they are actually true or not.
When those things enter your heart, they become your words, thoughts, actions, "the harvest"

And our glorified bodies are when we "become like angels" - descendants of the seed of Abraham as numerous as the stars in heaven. Very interesting. Count the stars if you can. Look into stars representing those of Elohim and when they serve the stars, they're serving themselves. And then what are shooting stars?
Omg. And then when all the stars come to earth...that's us? WOAH. Connect to Mark 13:24-27 after the anguish of those days. Rev 6:13 - and when Yeshua talks to Sadducees we'll be living water + power of Yah = glorified body. And that is when death is swallowed up. So not prior to Millennial Kingdom? Find timing for 1 Cor 15:52-55.
406. 2 Cor 5:3 - Consider this in light of other stuff. And the silver cord thing. Like, really. Are we "stars" - predetermined by Elohim to run our course.
