Urgost's Lair

I don't know if you guys know this or not, but Mike and I have been waking up at 5:45 every weekday morning, going to the gym, and running.

That's right. Running.

Last week I accomplished so much because on Monday, I passed 1/4 of the CPA exam!
And then Tuesday through Thursday, I RAN A MILE. Like- straight.
No walking. No dying.
Just running.

The first day we did this, we got back to the house pretty early (6:40), so we decided to take a power nap before work.

It is, by far, one of the best feelings in the world.
Why? When you sleep 8 hours straight, you don't get to enjoy the fact that you're sleeping because as soon as you wake up, you have to start being a person.

But when you get up early, go do something, and then realize that you can go back to sleep for another hour or so before you have to start being a person?
A conscious joy floods your soul.

Consequently, we've been waking up that early on purpose just so we can take that empyrean nap. It also gives me something to look forward to when I'm running besides sore abs and legs.

So, in conclusion:
*sing like the Folgers commercial*
The best part of waking up--is going back to sleep!

And then, yeah, I guess coffee,

  1. So it's like when Ben wakes up at 4 in the morning. From 5 to 6:30 is the best hour and a half of sleep EVERRR!
